Pleasure Garden is an intimate performance in a formal garden. Audiences glimpse the innocent moments of Adam's first bite of the apple, through love letters and peacocks to the thunderous age of steam. Groups are escorted into the garden for approximately 15 minutes for bees, blossom, extravagant characters and elegant comedy. The show was commissioned by Henley Festival and Stockton International Riverside Festival. Here's what some people said about it in 2007

This was another triumph in the Hoodwink trademark style. Deflating the pompous, mechanical ingenuity, broad brush physical comedy, and an essential Englishness which I can imagine plays as well abroad as it does here. We had the good fortune to have a genuine Georgian Square as a backdrop, and I don't think it would have seen such laughable foppery and frippery or world-defining ambition since the 18th Century.

Hoodwink's trademark mix of physical comedy, visual flair, and fantastic music. A clock tower animated by the mechanical genius of Andy Plant who created the walking, jumping table in Gastronomic. Two characters who chime the hours in the clock tower cope with sabotage by mice, an ailing cuckoo, and a dangerously over wound mainspring! Off beat, non verbal and striking images - a funny and ingenious show that will delight all ages.
